The Hornady Black line of ammunition features new bullet and propellant technology specifically created for optimal performance in a variety of shooting applications with supreme accuracy and consistency. Its clean burning propellant technology provides 15 to 20% temperature reduction, resulting in a progressive burn rate with minimal flash. Made in a .308 Winchester cartridge, this round is loaded with a 168 grain Hornady A-MAX projectile, which is designed to fit, feed and function with direct impingement, gas piston, suppressed, unsuppressed, bolt, supersonic, subsonic, rifle-length, mid-length, carbine, and pistol AR platforms. The A-MAX bullet, engineered with a low-drag polymer tip and caliber specific boat tail measurements, maximizes the ballistic coefficient and accuracy for near perfection in flight.
